Swim and Dive Team Closes Season With Win
The Herndon High School swim and dive team closed the season last weekend, defeating Mt. Vernon's men's and women's teams. The men's team won 223-91 and the women's team had their second win of the season with a score of 219-96.

Families Needed to Host Baseball Players
The Herndon Braves, a collegiate baseball team in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League, are looking for families to host players this summer. Players on the team are drawn from around the country and represent the major collegiate conferences. Host families provide a safe and comfortable family environment.

Sprint Triathlon Fills in 24 Minutes
Race registration for the second annual Reston Sprint Triathlon filled within 24 minutes of its opening Jan. 10. The triathlon is scheduled for June 1.

Triple Jump Victory

Herndon High School junior Emily Palmer competes in the triple jump at the indoor track team's meet Jan. 19. Palmer's distance was 33'7", which was her personal best and the winning distance in the event.
