| Two Arrested in Reston DWI Checkpoint |
| Two people were arrested for driving while intoxicated during a sobriety checkpoint in Reston last weekend. Fairfax County police officers conducted the checkpoint near the intersection of Wiehle Avenue and Fairfax County Parkway from 11 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday. Motorists were stopped and drivers were checked to assure their ability to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs. About 563 drivers were stopped at the intersection. In addition to the two DWI arrests, five summonses were issued for driving on a suspended license and three summonses were issued for driving without a license. Eight officers and four auxiliary officers participated. |

| Woman Robbed on South Lakes Drive |
| A 32-year-old Reston woman was reportedly robbed while walking on South Lakes Drive at 3:45 a.m. May 29. The woman was walking on the sidewalk near Soapstone Drive when she was approached by a man who allegedly pushed her to the ground, demanded money and implied that he had a gun. He took property and cash before fleeing. No injuries were reported. The man was described as black, in his 20s, 6 feet tall, about 175 pounds and wearing a black sweater and dark jeans. |

| - Gasoline was reported stolen from a service station in the 11800 block of Baron Cameron Avenue. |
| - A bench was reported stolen from a residence in the 12300 block of Brown Fox Way. |
| - A laptop was reported stolen from a business in the 2200 block of Cooperative Way. |
| - Two GPS units were reported stolen in separate instances from vehicles in the 11900 block of Freedom Drive. |
| - A radio was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 12200 block of Laurel Glade Court. |
| - A wallet was reported stolen from a business in the 11900 block of Market Street. |
| - Two cell phones were reported stolen from a business in the 600 block of Miller Avenue. |
| - A wallet was reported stolen from a business in the 11800 block of Spectrum Center. |
| - An iPod was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 12300 block of Sunrise Valley Drive. |
| - A camera was reported stolen from a business in the 1700 block of Wiehle Avenue. |
| - A 1995 Acura Integra was reported stolen in the 13300 block of Apgar Place. |
| - A 2000 Honda Civic was reported stolen in the 2200 block of Centreville Road. |
