Couple Scares Off Would-Be Intruder
A man and a woman returned to their home in the 2600 block of Logan Wood Drive at about 12:30 p.m. to find a man attempting to break in. The 41-year-old woman screamed and the man fled. The couple saw the man flee in a small, silver or white sport utility vehicle. No description of the man is available at this time and no injuries were reported.
 
The Fairfax County Police Department reported the following incidents through June 10:
• Cellular phones were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 11600 block of Charter Oak Court.
• Video games, DVDs and CDs were reported stolen from a business in the 1800 block of Fountain Drive.
• A wallet was reported stolen from a business in the 11900 block of Freedom Drive.
• A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 11600 block of Lake Newport Road.
• A Nintendo DS was reported stolen from a school in the 900 block of Locust Street.
• Cash was reported stolen from a residence in the 11700 block of Summerchase Circle.
• A cellular phone was reported stolen from a school in the 900 block of Locust Street.
• A cellular phone was reported stolen from a school in the 900 block of Locust Street.
• A GPS, toolbox and jack were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2300 block of Southgate Square.
• A wallet, watch and credit cards were reported stolen from a business in the 12100 block of Sunset Hills Road.
• A 1991 Geo Prism was reported stolen in the 13300 block of Preuit Place.
