Man Robbed After Accepting Ride From Stranger
A 24-year-old Maryland man was robbed after he accepted a ride from a woman he did not know. The man was walking through a parking lot when the woman pulled over and asked if he needed a ride. During the ride, the woman demanded the man give her his money and his cell phone. She then pulled over near the intersection of Glade Drive and Millrace Lane and ordered that the man get out of the car. The woman was described as black, about 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She had a tattoo on her left shoulder and was driving a red Honda.
 
Woman Attacked While Cleaning
On June 16, a 33-year-old woman was cleaning an apartment complex office in the 11600 block of North Shore Drive when there was a knock on the door. When she opened the door, a man punched her in the face before shoving her into a closet. The woman locked herself in the closet and called police. She was not injured. The man was described as black, in his 30s, about 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall and about 160 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, an off-white polo shirt and brown construction boots.
 
Man Attempts to Buy Drugs With Fraudulent Prescription
Between March 21 and April 16, a medical office in the 1800 block of Towne Center Drive in Reston was burglarized. A man entered the office and stole a prescription pad and later attempted to obtain drugs with a fraudulent prescription. Using the pad, the man attempted to get Hydrocodone at a pharmacy in the Chantilly area on April 16. The man is described as white, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and about 125 pounds. He is about 18 to 25 years old with short blonde hair and was wearing a yellow, polo-type shirt and blue jeans. Suspects Sought in Car Thefts
Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating the people responsible for stealing two cars in the McLean area and intentionally damaging them. Police were called to a home in the 1800 block of Great Falls Street at about 5:20 a.m. June 16 for the stolen cars. An investigation determined the suspects broke into a 2008 Smart fortwo car during the overnight hours the evening before. Inside, they located keys to the Smart car and also a 2000 Lexus RX300, parked at the same residence. The vehicle owners, a 60-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, called police when they discovered the cars missing. Officers located the Smart car later that same day in the McLean area. The car had extensive damage that appeared intentional. The Lexus was recovered in the Reston area on June 21. It, too, had extensive damage. Call 1-866-411-8477.
 
The Fairfax County police reported the following incidents in the Herndon and Reston area through June 18:
• An inspection sticker was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 11600 block of Vantage Hill Road.
• A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Astoria Circle.
• Three laptops were reported stolen from a business in the 1800 block of Fountain Drive.
• A wallet and a camera were reported stolen from a vehicle near Fox Hunt Lane and Fox Mill Road.
• An iPod and a GPS system were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 11900 block of Freedom Drive.
• A GPS system was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 10800 block of Parkridge Boulevard.
• A wallet was reported stolen from a business in the 11600 block of Stoneview Square.
• A 1999 GMC was reported stolen in the 2300 block of Colts Brook Drive.
• A 1992 Buick Park Avenue was reported stolen in the 2000 block of Swans Neck Way.
