Herndon Men Charged in Hunting Incident in Sterling
It was reported that a Loudoun County deputy observed a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the off ramp from Sterling Boulevard to Route 28. A cross bow was located inside the vehicle, and it was determined the men were attempting to hunt deer in the area. A 36-year-old Herndon man and a 19-year-old Herndon man were charged with attempting to conceal a weapon, hunting after hours and hunting without a license at 9:11 p.m. Oct. 25 at the intersection of Sterling Boulevard and Route 28 in Sterling.
 
The Herndon police reported the following incidents through Oct. 26:
BRUIN DISTRICT
• A vehicle was reported broken into and a GPS was reported stolen between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and 7 a.m. Oct. 21 in the 600 block of Alabama Drive.
• A bicycle was reported stolen from outside of a business at 5:58 p.m. Oct. 21 in the 900 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A person reported that three of his credit cards were stolen at 4:48 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 12000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• A vehicle was reported broken into and a tire lock key was reported removed from the glove compartment. The key was then used to remove all four wheels from the vehicle between 3:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 700 block of Alabama Drive.
• It was reported that an employee embezzled an undisclosed amount of money and would not return it at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• A person reportedly exposed himself to another person at 6:55 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• A 27-year-old Herndon man was arrested for violation of a protective order at 7:22 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 500 block of Alabama Drive.
• A 45-year-old man with no fixed address was issued a summons for drinking in public at 10:25 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 700 block of Palmer Drive.
GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A person reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 5:22 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 1100 block of Autumnhaze Court.
• A vehicle was reported broken in to and a GPS was reported stolen between 6:30 a.m. and 10:51 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 1300 block of Mistyvale Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 12:11 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 1200 block of Herndon Parkway.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 6:03 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 1100 block of Whitewater Place.
HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• It was reported that an employee was using customer discounts to obtain items at a cheaper price at 3:22 p.m. Oct. 21 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A person reported an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from a purse between 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and 5 p.m. Oct. 17 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A person reported leaving a wallet in a shopping cart, and when the person returned, it was discovered that an undisclosed amount of money was stolen at 8:21 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A person reported being verbally harassed at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• Trespassing was reported at 4:32 a.m. Oct. 22 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• A person reported receiving harassing phone calls from an acquaintance at 5:07 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A person reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 1:20 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 900 block of Branch Drive.
• A vehicle was reported broken into and a GPS and iPod were reported stolen between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and 7 a.m. Oct. 21 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
• A vehicle was reported broken into and a GPS was reported stolen between 6 p.m. Oct. 20 and 7 a.m. Oct. 21 in the 1000 block of Kings Court.
• A bicycle was reported stolen at 4:53 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 700 block of Center Street.
CENTER DISTRICT
• A 52-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 10:19 a.m. Oct. 20 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 45-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for being drunk in public at 5:10 p.m. Oct. 21 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 41-year-old Herndon man and a 25-year-old man with no fixed address were arrested for being drunk in public at 5:54 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 1100 block of Alabama Drive.
• A 50-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public and was served with an outstanding warrant from Fairfax County for assault on a police officer at 8:57 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive.
• A 45-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both with no fixed address, were arrested for trespassing at 4:54 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 1000 block of Lexus Way.
DUI's and Other Incidents
• A 30-year-old Sterling woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 11:32 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 1400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 25-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:35 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 700 block of Grant Street.
• A 38-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 12:47 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 700 block of Monroe Street.
• A 33-year-old Herndon woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 12:14 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 1100 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 28-year-old Sterling man was arrested on a warrant from Leesburg at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.harassing phone calls from an acquaintance at 5:07 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
