The Elden Street Players Theater for Young Audiences holiday production of "Anne of Green Gables" opens Friday at the Industrial Strength Theatre. Adapted by R. N. Sandberg, the play is based on the beloved story written by L. M. Montgomery published in 1908.
Kat Brais returns to Theater for Young Audiences as the show's director. Brais is a two-time WATCH nominee for acting and a five-time WATCH nominee for hair design. "Anne of Green Gables" also features a talented cast with Allen McRae, Leta Hall, Lisa Anne Bailey and newcomers Sarah Chapin, Michael Bunting, Maggie Solo, Susanne Jones and Andrew Plummer.
The show opens Friday with a performance at 7:30 p.m. and it continues through Dec. 21. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 20, and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 13, 14, 20 and 21. All performances are at the Industrial Strength Theatre, located at 269 Sunset Park Drive in Herndon. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 10 and younger.
