Random Act of Kindness Brings Cheer
To the editor:
Too often, particularly of late, this section has been used for people to fuss back and forth about what's wrong with Herndon. I would like to highlight an example of what's right with our town.
Last Saturday, I was having breakfast with my mom at one of our favorite spots, Virginia Kitchen, which, with its friendly, small-town feel is also an example of what's right with Herndon.
As we finished up, the waitress came by and took away our check. Another customer, on her way out, had paid for our breakfast saying it was her mother's birthday and she wanted to treat us. Thank you for your random act of kindness-it made our day, and many more. Herndon truly is a special place with special people.
